Individual Advocacy:
This is Ability Inc's main programme;
this is for people who find it difficult to make decisions for themselves. This programme can also assist families, carers and service providers.
Self Advocacy:
Individuals and groups are trained in self advocacy, that is, people are helped, trained and encouraged to do things for themselves.
Ability Incorporated promotes Advocacy through:-
Annual Conference:
A three (3) day advocacy conference to give individuals information on advocacy and disability issues.
Consumer Evaluations:
Supporting and training consumers to have a say in how their services are run.
Transitional Training:
Training and supporting senior school students who have a disability to be aware of their rights and responsibilities in the career/employment they choose.
